De-Creation in the Chaotic Waters

God has spared a remnant so that his breath of life has not fully departed from the earth. However, this is an exceptionally low moment where God resolves his sad promise from Genesis 6:1 - all living things would be destroyed. Indeed they are. This is a de-creation narrative, in which all of God’s creative work has been undone due to humanity’s destructive choices.
